Five-Star offers one traditional session at Fordham University which takes place June 22-26
Housing
For this session campers will be housed on campus in one of the dorms. Here is the link to Fordham Residential Life for more information. These are non-air conditioned two person college dorm rooms. You can specify a roommate request on our camp application. A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper.
Athletic Facilities
Five-Star uses three athletic facilities for all of the basketball activities, Rose Hill Gym, The Vince Lombardi Center, and Fordham Prep; all located on campus. All of these facilities combine to give us 9 full courts (4 at Rose Hill Gym, 4 at Lombardi Center, and 1 at Fordham Prep) and over 28 half court baskets. Rose Hill Gym and the dining hall are air conditioned and provide an excellent environment for both our Five-Star station instruction and our games.
Dining Facilities
Five-Star uses the McGinley Center dining hall which offers buffet style service, with multiple meal options.
Transportation
Five-Star will provide transportation to and from the LaGuardia Airport, The Port Authority and Grand Central Station for $40. Please see our Travel Page at Travel. Our camp shuttles will begin at Noon and run until about 4 pm. Please e-mail (travel@five-starbasketball.com) or call (914-964-6540) the Five-Star Office with your flight/bus/train times to reserve your place on our camp transportation. We do not offer the option of arriving a day early or staying a day late at this facility.
All departing flights and busses should be scheduled for after 3pm.
Check-In
Check-In will be in the Rose Hill Gym (subject to change) between 2pm-4pm. At check-in each camper will receive their room and league assignment and have an opportunity to check their money and valuables into the canteen (highly recommended). A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the session provided that the room key is returned and there is no damage to the room.
Opening Day
After check-in campers will have dinner, their first camp meal of the day, then be directed to their league tryout location, where they will try out to be placed in the appropriate league and drafted onto teams. They will also go through camp orientation and our Five-Star Fast Break Station.
Schedule
The daily schedule will be available every morning at breakfast for each of the following days. On the last day Check-Out will take place in the Rose Hill Gym starting approximately 10am following our awards ceremony. Campers will turn in their room keys, collect their room & key deposits and any money or valuables checked into the canteen. From here we will load the bus/busses going to the airport, bus and train station.
