Five-Star offers two traditional sessions at our location at FSU. The first takes place June 15-19 the second week takes place August 2-6.

Housing

For the June session the dorm is TBA (please stand by), for the second session campers will be housed just off campus at Seminole Oaks Dorm, 700 North Woodward Ave, Tallahassee, FL 32304 http://www.seminoleoaks.com/ . These are air conditioned two person college dorm rooms that share a bathroom with an adjoining room. You can specify a roommate request on our camp application. Check-In will also be held here starting at the dorms on the first day of camp. A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper. Our Five-Star Canteen (camp store) is located on the second floor and offers snacks, drinks, and apparel for sale during the campers down time and at night before lights out.

Athletic Facilities

Five-Star uses four top of the line athletic facilities, Tully Gym, Tallahassee Community College (TCC), the FSU Practice Facility and the Leon County Civic Center. We provide private busses to and from each facility free of charge. All of these facilities combine to give us 13 full courts (4 at Tully Gym, 3 at TCC, 2 at the Exhibition Hall, 2 at the Civic Center and 2 at the Practice facility) and over 30 half court baskets. All of these facilities are indoor and air conditioned and provide an excellent environment for both our Five-Star station instruction and our games.

Dining Facilities

Five-Star uses two dining halls, one TBA, the other at Seminole Oaks which is conveniently located near our facilities at the Civic Center and Practice Facility. Both cafeterias offer buffet style service, with multiple meal options.

Transportation

Five-Star will provide transportation to and from the Tallahassee Airport and the Greyhound Bus Station in Tallahassee for $40. Please see our Travel Page at (insert link to Travel Page) Our camp shuttles will begin at Noon and run until about 4 pm. Please e-mail (travel@five-starbasketball.com) or call (914-964-6540) the Five-Star Office with your flight/bus times to reserve your place on our camp transportation. We do not offer the option of arriving a day early or staying a day late at this facility.  All departing flights and busses should be scheduled for after 3pm. If you have a bus or flight earlier please contact the Five-Star Office, we will try to arrange some special transportation at a nominal fee.

Check-In

Check-In for each camps will be in the lobby of the respective dorm, for the first week TBA (please stand by), for the second week at Seminole Oaks between 2 and 4pm. At check-in each camper will receive their room and league assignment and have an opportunity to check their money and valuable into the canteen (highly recommended). A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper at check-in. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the session provided that the room key is returned and there is no damage to the room.

Opening Day

After check-in campers will have dinner, their first camp meal of the day, then be directed to their league tryout location, where they will try out to be placed in the appropriate league and drafted onto teams. They will also go through camp orientation and our Five-Star Fast Break Station.

Schedule

The daily schedule will be available every morning at breakfast for each of the following days. On the last day Check-Out will take place in the lobby of each dorm starting approximately 11am following our awards ceremony. Campers will turn in their room keys, collect their room & key deposits and any money or valuables checked into the canteen. From here we will load the bus/busses going to the airport and bus station.
