Five-Star offers two traditional session and one junior five-star camp at Lewis University - June 30-July 3 & July 3-5are the traditional camps and the junior five-star is held July 28-August 1st.
Lewis University is in Romeoville, IL about 30 minutes southwest of downtown Chicago. All camp activities take place on campus. Visit the college's web-site - Here.
Housing
Campers will be housed on campus in one of the dorms Lewis U. Residence Halls. These are air conditioned two person college dorm rooms. You can specify a roommate request on our camp application. A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper.
Athletic Facilities
Five-Star uses the Neil Carey Arena and the attached Rec Center Fieldhouse for all of the basketball activities. The Neil Carey Arena has a new hard wood floor and six glass backboards. The Rec Center Fieldhouse has four full courts with glass backboards on a sport court surface. These facilities combine to give Five-Star 5 full courts and 14 half court baskets.
Dining Facilities and Canteen
Five-Star uses one of the dining halls on campus. The cafeteria offers buffet style service, with multiple meal options.
Transportation
Five-Star will provide transportation to and from O’Hare International Airport for $40 round-trip fee. Please see our Travel Page at Travel . Our camp shuttles will begin at Noon and run until about 3 pm. Please e-mail (travel@five-starbasketball.com) or call (914-964-6540) the Five-Star Office with your flight times to reserve your place on our camp transportation.
All departing flights and busses should be scheduled for after 3pm.
Check-In
Check-In will be in the Rec Center Gym between Noon and 3pm. At check-in each campers will receive their room and league assignment and have an opportunity to check their money and valuables into the canteen (highly recommended). A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the session provided that the room key is returned and there is no damage to the room.
Opening Day
After check-in campers will have dinner, their first camp meal of the day, then be directed to their league tryout location, where they will try out to be placed in the appropriate league and drafted onto teams. They will also go through camp orientation and an instructional period such as our Five-Star Fast Break Station.
Schedule
The daily schedule will be available every morning at breakfast for each of the following days. On the last day Check-Out will take place in the Rec Center Gym starting approximately 10am following our awards ceremony. Campers will turn in their room keys, collect their room & key deposits and any money or valuables checked into the canteen. From here we will load the shuttle going to the airport.
