Five-Star offers six traditional sessions, four junior camps, two specialty camps, three day camps, two team camps, two coaching academies, one sports broadcasting camp and one college development camp all at Robert Morris University, see dates above
Robert Morris University is in Western PA about 15 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh. All camp activities take place on campus. Visit the college's web-site - Here.
Housing
For all sessions campers will be housed on campus in one of the dorms. Most rooms are air conditioned and the non A/C rooms have ceiling fans. Most rooms are two person college dorm rooms with a limited number of three person rooms. You can specify a roommate request on our camp application. A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper.
Athletic Facilities
There are 15 full courts available on campus at Robert Morris. Five-Star has 9 fully lit outdoor courts; the Sewall Center, a gym with 5 indoor full courts in the air conditioned Sewall Center facility, and the John Jay Center with one full court and 6 baskets on hardwood. Five-Star also utilizes the weight room in the new Joe Walton Football Stadium
Dining Facilities and Canteen
Five-Star uses the main dining hall on campus in the newly renovated Nicholson Center. The cafeteria offers plate service, with multiple meal options at every meal.
Transportation
Five-Star will provide transportation to and from the Pittsburgh International Airport, and the bus and train terminals in Pittsburgh for $40. Please see our Travel Page at (insert link to Travel Page) .Our camp shuttles will begin at Noon and run until about 4 pm. Please e-mail (travel@five-starbasketball.com) or call (914-964-6540) the Five-Star Office with your flight/bus/train times to reserve your place on our camp transportation. We are able to offer the option of arriving a day early or staying a day late at this facility for a fee of $60.
All departing flights and busses should be scheduled for after 3pm.
Check-In
Check-In for all of the camps will be in at the Gazebo in the middle of the campus near the dorms between 2pm and 4pm. (in the event of inclimate weather check-in will take place in the dining hall across from the Gazebo) At check-in each camper will receive their room and league assignment and have an opportunity to check their money and valuables into the canteen (highly recommended). A $50 room & key deposit will be required of every camper. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the session provided that the room key is returned and there is no damage to the room.
Opening Day
After check-in campers will have dinner, their first camp meal of the day, then be directed to their league tryout location, where they will try out to be placed in the appropriate league and drafted onto teams. They will also go through camp orientation and our Five-Star Fast Break Station.
Schedule
The daily schedule will be available every morning at breakfast for each of the following days. On the last day Check-Out will take place at the Gazebo starting approximately 10am following our awards ceremony. Campers will turn in their room keys, collect their room & key deposits and any money or valuables checked into the canteen. From here we will load the bus/busses going to the airport, bus and train station.
